Mainly and commonly found in the wet zone. Found in areas from sea level up to 1600 meters.
Medicinal Uses
Parts Used: Leaves, Bark and Roots
Inflammations related to Rheumatoid arthritis - Paste made from Bark and leaves Grinded with salt.
Wounds and abscess due to injuries: The leaves and bark are used as a Mallung. when applied to an abscess, it is fermented, and the internal fluid is brought out.
For severe Contusions: A Porridge made of Ankenda leaves is prescribed for drinking.

ආමවාතජ සන්ධි ශෝථයට : කොළ, පොතු, ලුණු කැට භාවිතයෙන් පත්තු පදමට සකසා ගත් ප්රලේපය ස්ථානික ශෝථය හා ශූලය පහකිරීම වස් යොදාගැනේ.
ආඝාත ජනිත ව්රණ රෝපණයට හා ගෙඩි ඉසිරවීමට : කොළ, පොතු මැල්ලුම යොදාගනු ලැබේ. විද්රධි අවස්ථාවකට (ගෙඩි) යෙදූ විට එය පැසවා අභ්යන්තරයේ ඇති ශල්යය පිටතට මතු කරවයි.
දරුණු තැලීම් වැනි අභිඝාත අවස්ථාවලට : අංකෙන්ද කැඳ පානය නිර්දේශ කරයි.
